Global Coordinate System

The global coordinate system is a three-dimensional, left-handed Cartesian coordinate system. You can freely choose the structure plane and force direction.

The three axes are denoted XG, YG, and ZG or simply X, Y, and Z. Orienting the global Y direction opposite to gravity makes many default regulations within the program available (i.e., loading case self-weight in the minus Y direction) and is recommended.
